In Brunei

I'm here to attend a meeting with my colleagues and bosses the next few days. This is my first time visiting Brunei.

We reached the hotel since 3pm and I managed to connect to the Internet with the help of the hotel staff. With my office laptop, I can check office emails, listen to my favorite songs/music and visit my favorite websites. I have also brought along my Jap homework but I'm not sure if I have time/discipline to do so.

Hope the meeting runs smoothly and I look forward to be home on Sat!

Hey, are you staying at Empire Hotel? If you can, you should go there and take a look around the hotel compound.

Also, try to get someone to drive down to Belait district and see the "donkeys" hard at work. The houses at Belait are also very different from the ones at Muara.

Oh ya, do see the beaches too. The last time we were there, the beaches all close at 6pm -- there's a manual barrier across the entrance -- except for Crocodile Beach. Pantai something...

Brings back memories... haha!

We are staying @ Rizqun hotel. Will be at Empire Hotel in the afternoon and evening. Tomorrow we may have a few hours to explore a bit and may visit the water village.

Did you enjoy the water village? They called it "Venice of the East" and we were laughing about it, cos when you're at Subok Jetty, you can see the amount of rubbish floating in the water. Also at times, you see mysterious liquids coming down from the houses, and you just don't want to know what it is... :P heehee!

Will you get to go to Temburong? Its very green and peaceful!

We had dinner @ one of the restaurants at Water village. The surroundings looked quite pretty at night. I saw some boats. It was too dark to see any rubbish and stuff coming out from the houses.

No time to do much sightseeing on our own but we did find a shop selling funky clothes at the mall next to our hotel. My colleague and I bought quite a number of clothes from there. hee. But it was quite rushed trying the clothes as we only had 30 mins before it was time to go for some official dinner just now.
