The experiment
I baked these cookies on Sunday based on a recipe from a BBC book. Hershey's choc chips, raisins and M&M dark choc and less sugar instead of Smarties. Initially, it was frustrating because the cookie bottoms came out slightly burnt. From this incident, I realised I have to bake my future subjects at lower temperature and half the time indicated in the recipe. After scrapping the cookie bottoms, they still taste a little bitter but yumm - not too sweet, crispy outside and chewy inside.
The rest of the cookies slowly disappeared into my mum's and sis' stomachs over the week and this morning, I finished the last 2 for my breakfast this morning :)

Those dark M and M's just don't have that x factor. But yesterday I bought a 75% dark chocolate from lindt and it was too too bitter!!
I like bitter chocolates! Maybe you could use them to bake cookies :)
I think it's no longer in the fridge! Think husband got to it...
