The Kite Runner

I finished reading this book Joan gave me early last year.Written by Khaled Hosseini, it explores friendship, war, courage, family, love, cruelty, hatred, forgiveness, etc. It is a very good story and once again, I couldn't help but feel fortunate that I am born in Singapore surrounded by my family and friends.

I've been lent this book and it has been sitting on my table, untouched, for months, I'm ashamed to say because I am grateful for being lent the book but I just can't find the time to read it. But somehow also, the book just didn't seem to appeal to me, despite the fact that all who read it gave a good review. I guess perhaps I should try to pick it up soon if I can find any free spots of time.
