Dinner Part 1: Kushikatsu

13 Aug 2006 (Sun) - Another Japanese friend of kuro.shiro.neko brought us to a restaurant @ Roppongihills. We tried kushikatsu. It's like yakitori or Japanese style of small pieces of meat, seafood and veggies on skewers but kushikatsu gives a different touch - deep fried with bread crumbs.

the "kushinobo" restaurant that we went to was crowded and we had to wait for about 15 minutes before we could nicely settle down to order our food. Our friend recommended that we each could try the different varieties and just let the waitresses know in advance if we want to stop more food from coming.

I like the beef, asparagus and most of the stuff that were served. However such deep fried stuff cannot be consumed too much at one go or be eaten often. At the end of the meal, I felt greasy inside but it was an interesting experience.

A nice meal must end with a sweet dessert (some jelly with sweet condensed milk, I think) And we still had 2 more eateries to visit! :)

I had the pleasure of eating at Kushinobu in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. The food was absolutely excellent!
