I have borrowed a cat trap from Cat Welfare Society (CWS), so that I can lend it to anyone near my place who approach CWS for the loan of a cat trap to sterilise a cat. I am also thinking of bringing White Neck or Hunter for sterilisation one of these days.

What if a dog pass by and take the bait? Can it still be called a cat trap then?

When one is going to trap a cat for sterilisation, he should be waiting nearby to ensure the targeted cat is attract to enter the trap by placing food in it. A cat trap should not be left there on its own without anyone watching. People could steal the trap or release the cat in the trap thinking that it's used to trap the cat for culling or use it for the wrong purpose.
