I have just told the vet to put White Cat to sleep since the test for FIP is positive. He has lost a lot of weight recently and his sides and tummy areas are bulging FIP is incurable and can spread to other cats. We don't want him to suffer, so we have decided to let him go.

Jacin, what's FIP?
Sorry to hear that, Jacin. Having had one of my own cats taken by this terrible disease, you made the right decision. Sounds like he had the wet version. This is a good site on FIP: http://www.dr-addie.com/
Hi Jinny. Michael has kindly provided a link on FIP. Some of the symptoms for the wet version include loss of weight, dullness in the fur and bloated stomach.
Thanks, Michael. I'm glad that we decided to consult the vet and not let White Cat suffer anymore.
There is nothing else you can do. You made the right decision. RIP White Cat.
Thanks, Anon.
So sorry to hear about White Cat. RIP.xx
