Pretty Japanese bowls

S bought these pretty Japanese bowls from OG Chinatown as he remembers my parents will keep dinner for me when I return home after work. I like :)

Jogging at Bishan Park

I have been jogging there quite often and have seen the changes over the past year. I hope people will enjoy and appreciate the park and amenities. My friends and I saw some litter appearing in the river, on the grass patch, under the plants, etc.

Another meal from Salad Stop

Salad Stop has a take away counter at Takashimaya, so I got a Jai Ho salad (chicken meat, potato, red pepper, corn, lettuce, Thai dressing) after I did some window shopping. The salad required quite a bit of munching :) and should last me till dinner at home.

Outdoor lunch

It's cold in office, train and the mall that I decided to buy the Salad Stop's Cheaper than a Facial wrap and take away. I ate it outside the shopping mall, sitting on the wooden bench by the long table, facing the road junction. There was occasional warm breeze but it was bearable.

Savoury and sweet day

I had a quick nice lunch of yong tau hu bee hoon with a good friend today. After jogging with S in the evening, we had teh halia and I fed myself and S a few pieces of Garrett's macadamia and almond caramel popcorns. I went home to munch on a few more mouthful of popcorns. I think I have enough of sweet things for the week or so I say. Haha. The rest of the popcorns will be for sis, mom, S, etc. Sweet things are meant to be shared :)

Long bean rice

S cooked us this yummy dish full of ingredients (yam, dried shrimps, pork, Chinese sausage, mushroom, long bean). I had it for lunch and my parents just ate that for dinner. It will be my dinner later too.

Dinner of teochew porridge and tau pok

After the nice dinner on Thurs, I suggested teochew porridge dinner to my family yesterday, so that I can practise my driving with dad accompanying me to buy the food home. I was enjoying my dinner at home and I think my family too.

Beautiful lotus

I took the photos of S' lotus plant yesterday. This windy afternoon, the petals have fallen off.

Cinnamon relaxing in the day

Cinnamon on the perch

Cinnamon managed to hop onto the chair, a little clumsily grabbed the rug on the perch with her front paws to sit there and look out of the window. A few times when we tried to go near, she would hop back to the floor, so I was careful to keep a distance and be quiet to take these shots.

Cinnamon and her toys

Cinnamon enjoys playing on her own :)

Bob on the fridge

I like the look of the white kitchen tiles behind Bob and I love the little rascal :)

Sugaring

I have tried shaving and IPL for my leg hairs, but I don't want to cut myself and I'm sick of the spa staff trying to sell me packages. After reading about sugaring online and getting the Moom organic hair removal jar, I have decided to stick to it. It was a bit troublesome at first, as I have to warm up the jar and spread the "wax" on a small area of hair on my leg, followed by the cloth strip, and give the strip 2 quick rubs, before quickly lifting the strip in the opposite direction of the hair growth.

It sounds a bit tedious, but after some practice, I just need about 15 minutes (excluding warming up the "wax") to remove the hairy areas of my legs weekly. The wax made of sugar, lemon juice, chamomile, tea tree oil and water, smells nice and it's not painful too :)

Nice teochew porridge

After jogging with F, S came to pick me up for dinner. S said the porridge is nicer with more "arm" aka porridge water. I selected the Chye Poh omelette, veggie and black bean minced pork. Poor S didn't have much of an appetite due to a slight tummyache, but he wanted to make sure I had my dinner. He did nibble on some food and drink the arm.

Wake and lunch

As we grow older, there seems to be more wakes than weddings happening in the year. It's sad to see loved ones of close friends leave this world. While consoling our friend yesterday, others were also sharing experiences to lighten up the mood. Our friend asked me to help her water her money plant while she is away from office. It will take her a while to feel less sad without her mom around. We headed to the nearby hawker centre for a nice simple lunch before going back to work.

Is Cinnamon happy?

She seems to be happy when she plays with the toys herself, when she's watching the tv, resting on the chair or sis' bed, when we sit down with her and stroke her. However, when Bob is out at night, she will be a bit tense or hide under the coffee table. Angel who is scared of Bob has started to hiss at Cinnamon, chase or stalk her if he is annoyed at her. She will growl at the boys but we feel sad that she gets bullied by the boys.

shopping and yong tau hu lunch

Today I had no lunch appointment, so I went to buy health supplements from Robinson, sent my sandal to be glued at Mister Mint. The guy repeated a few times that no warranty will be given as they can't guarantee the front sole will stay intact after glueing. I wonder what super glue Camper has used. And what Vibrams uses for the Fivefingers shoes too. I managed to try 2 jackets and jeans at Uniqlo before eating yong tau hu bee hoon at 313 Somerset food court. My lunch cost me $7! They have a new item - steamed pumpkin which is quite nice and filling.
