Fishballs and soba
I finished the last bit of curry leaves by using them in the soup for the soba. I like adding lime juice too and my favorite corriander.
A short drive & a walk in the park
I drove alone yesterday late morning by practising my parking and venturing to the park. It felt kind of liberating :)
Bob makes me :)
Even though Bob puked on my bed and the floor and made me busy with washing of dirty covers, etc, he still made me smile :)

Bob's catering service :p
I cooked mushroom and chicken couscous for lunch for S and I. I showed Bob the containers before I left home and his reaction was cute.

Turning 34 yesterday
I have given myself a big present earlier, received birthday wishes from friends and colleagues, played with the thoughtful gift from S, spent the day with my loved ones and baked coffee butter cake and cinnamon cookies :)

Lor Mai Fun & Otak
S bought the famous Lor Mai Fun from Chinatown for our breakfast yesterday morning. My lunch with mom was yummy too - baked otak with veggies.

Flavourful noodles
I cooked this simple dish for lunch which was made up of pumpkin noodles, corn, curry leaves, spring onions and soup using dashi stock, lime juice and light soya sauce. I like the sweet, sour, herby and savoury tastes in every mouthful :)

Unsuccessful cinnamon cookies
I have been trying recipes that don't require the dough to be chilled and sliced, but it seems inevitable as the cookies from 3 recipes didn't turn out well. They are either too hard, taste too healthy or have no cinnamon kick. I'm not daunted and shall try chill/slice recipe in my next experiment :)

Home cooked dinner on Saturday
Parents usually don't cook dinner on weekends. However, sometimes we get sick of eating outside or asking Dad to buy take-away home. Today was such a day and mom prepared the peanut soup and stir fried zucchini with prawns while I baked shepherd pie.

Hunger Games, lunch & dessert
I enjoyed the Hunger Games movie but I prefer the book, as the book made me feel more for the characters. The movie does flesh out certain scenes in the book and I think Jennifer Lawrence played the Katniss Everdeen character quite well. After the movie, we had lunch and tea @ TWG @ Ion. We browsed at the malls for a short while before satisfying our sweet tooth @ Paul @ Ngee Ann City. I'm happy to know that both sis and I had a nice time together :)
