Kimchi soup full of spices - it really helps to whet our appetites. 

Beef and chicken slices cooked by my friends. The nicely marinated meat went well with the slightly bitter veggie. 

This fried shallot egg pancake is interesting. With flour added, it was slightly chewy.

The girls were cooking and eating happily. 

Interesting decor in the private room. Nice chest. We guess the fan was to blow away the smell of the meat cooking on the hot plate. 

I like the hot buckwheat tea. Fragrant. 

Side dishes at Ser Ra Berl Korean Restaurant at Furama Hotel last Thur evening. That was my first time having a Korean meal. I like the dried anchovies - spicy and sweet. 

Bob the stray cat is comfortable on the 2nd floor and has been pooing and peeing in the corner of the opposite unit, causing a stench. The guy who claimed that he does not take care of Bob said he has used soda water to clean up the soiled area for his neighbour. We asked him to sterilise the cat and he said he's jobless and Bob is not his. We also told him to inform the person feeding the cat to do it downstairs instead.

This is a house pet with a collar around her neck. A very friendly cat and we managed to find her owner and told him to please keep an eye on his cat and keep her indoors as we are concerned that she may be taken away if residents in the area start to complain about cats. 

This chubby looking cat was hiding in the drain in a few blocks away. 

This pretty little cat (with black eye liner) looks a bit dirty but is very friendly when Dawn and I found her at the block where we were supposed to do a mediation. We went up to the 5th floor and managed to find the resident who told her the cat followed her up and she feeds it. We asked her to feed the cat downstairs and hope she understands and does so to prevent further complaints. 

A light lunch of oatmeal with dried apricots and wheatgerm yesterday before I left to meet Dawn to go down to the warehouse to pack Cat Welfare Society merchandise for the Cat Show @ Singapore Expo this Sun and also join her for 2 mediation cases.

My final plate: I could resist trying the cakes and pick these 2. The cheese cake was disappointing - powdery feel to it. The carrot walnut cake was nice and moist with a hint of cinnamon. I enjoyed every bit of it and left the rest of the cheese cake untouched.

I like the cafe for its cosy environment and friendly service. However, the food is not that great enough to attract me to make another visit again.

This crepe cone looked so good that I had to try it with vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream.  

Mum tried the waffle with Jackfruit and Choc icecream. I tasted the jackfruit ice cream and went yuck! But I like the waffle with the choc ice cream. 

Sis dipped pieces of rock melon, honeydew. marshmallow and biscotti into the chocolate fountain. Interesting experience but the chocolate was rather sweet and didn't go well with the sweet fruits. It would have been better if there are dark chocolate and strawberries! 

My 2nd plate: I only like the garlic naan and satay. The crossiant has this creamy smell that my mum and I detected. The lotus paste bun was alright. Notice the prawn? We could cook skewers of that and other kebabs (like veggies and beef with straw mushroom, etc) in some pots of hot water. I don't really fancy that . 

I gave my family a treat @ CafeBiz, Traders Hotel. I have read in some review that the food is nice, so I decided to give it a try. It seems reasonable @ $35+++ and we could eat all we want from 12 to 5pm. haha. We only reached the place @ 2pm and left around 4.30pm. This was my first plate of food. My assessment: Not bad but the fritter (you tiao) is too tough.
