Happiness and heartache

My mom and I feel happy whenever we see our community cats appear to take their food and drink their water. They will relax and explore the park or just rest after feeding.

At mom's request, I took a photo of these purple flowers before the crazy gardener who hates the cats cut them away.

Shadow has not been herself these few days. First she disappeared after a thunderstorm. Then Mom managed to find her hiding in the bushes but she just drank some water and didn't eat any food. The past few nights, she didn't appear. This morning, she came out of her hiding place and only drank and went back hiding again. We really hope she is alright.

What I have

I was wondering earlier to my friends whether I would have the stamina to post on my blog daily. I was thinking today will be an uneventful day and quite true enough, it has been smooth sailing at work. Yummy lunch too @ my favorite economy rice stall in Far East Plaza. I had nice sweet sour pork chop, small kailan and some french beans omelette with rice.

Now taking a little break before I continue working, I look around my workstation to see if there is any interesting thing for me to mention. Aha! There is this nice quote I have copied from Today some time back to remind myself how fortunate I am:
"The happiest of people are not those who have everything, but those who made the best with what they have."
I don't know the person behind the quote though but I am grateful to him/her for these words of wisdom :)
