Last morning in Bangkok

After 4 hours of sleep, we freshened had our breakfast, took some photos by the pool before heading to the airport. It was the 1st time traveling after being good friends for more than a decade and I'm glad we enjoy one another's company and didn't turn into enemies :)

Foot massage and shopping on last night in Bangkok

Earlier this evening we went to the same place for foot massage. A male masseur was assigned to me and he was quite good in trying to untie the tight knots in my legs and neck but at certain points, I had to take deep breaths to bear with the pain. After the massage, we had to take a cab to Siam Paragon as it was raining heavily. @ the mall, we got pretty mooncakes from Royal Vanilla and some goodies from the supermarket. The cafes and foodcourt were closing so we bought instant noodles back to the hotel to cook.

Dinner of instant noodles and fruits

We were busy packing our stuff into our luggage when we returned to our hotel room. FR cooked us the instant noodles. SP ate about @ least 4 rose apples and could only take a small portion of the noodles. FR and I had durian for dessert :) After blogging this, I shall continue to pack my stuff before showering and sleeping.

Lunch @ Jim Thompson cafe @ Surawong Road

After a few hours at Chatuchak, we went to Jim Thompson for lunch. We had a scrumptious spread of Thai food at around $40.

Pomegranate

We each bought 5 pomegranates from a cart outside our hotel to bring back home :)

My souvenirs from Chatuchak Market

I got lemongrass pandan tea, goat's milk salt body scrub, 2 tops, 3 skirts, 4 handkerchiefs and a dress :)

Hotel breakfast on Day 3 in Bangkok

I had all these except the salad with tomatoes (which was FR's). The hotel staff and other guests probably thought I was weird to arrange the food and plate instead of eating immediately. We ate slightly more than yesterday as we needed the energy to comb the Chatuchak market :)

Foot massage and dinner

We had an hour long of foot massage near our hotel. The masseur managed to untie the tight muscles and knots. Certain points on my legs feel uncomfortable when she was kneading them but it felt good after that. I fell asleep that she had to wake me up to sit up for the shoulder and head massage. I was walking on clouds all the way to our dinner @ iBerry @ Central World and later back to our hotel. We had fried squid salad, spicy Tom yam noodle (mine), Phat Thai with king prawns (FR) and green chicken curry (SP).

Happy shopping in Chinatown

The girls managed to find the shop selling Blythe dolls' clothes and also bought other cutesy stuff. Even Cloud has a Vespa! I like the 2 iPhone covers which look cheery :)

Braised duck in Chinatown

After walking around Chinatown and popping in and out of shops, we were quite tired by 4+pm. FR brought us to this place for braised duck and other dishes. Our late lunch was less than $20!

Light snacks @ Little India

We enjoyed yummy scallops, coconut milk pancakes, refreshing mango slices and durian with glutinous rice before exploring Little India and Chinatown.

Early start for Day 2 in Bangkok

We woke up quite early before 7am even though we didn't sleep early last night and kept waking up to pee, etc. We wanted to swim before breakfast at the hotel's restaurant but it was drizzling, so FR painted our nails by the poolside. We managed to swim @ least 5 laps after breakfast before we went out.

Supper of sweet stuff

After shopping around Siam Square, we went back to Siam Paragon for Hokkaido milk, cinnamon churros and Thai coconut pancakes.

Blythe dolls sighted in Siam Paragon

The girls were excited to see them earlier this evening :)

Early dinner @ Siam Paragon

We wanted to eat Thai food but those @ the foodcourt weren't appealing, so we settled down at Ootoya. The mushroom salad with pesto sauce was good. The chicken egg don and kimchi pork don were alright. We all like the iced green tea which has the nice roasted brown rice/buckwheat.

Our hotel room in Bangkok

After a good flight and smooth cab ride, we were happy to find our hotel room spacious and clean. We rested a bit before heading out to shop and eat.
