Thanks to S, I cooked penne with his yummy bolognese sauce for lunch yesterday and dinner today. He also made pasta salad with fresh veggies and lovely Italian dressing today and that was my lunch.

Buttermilk pancakes
I tried my hands at making pancakes in 2 flavours, chocolate chips and banana. I'm glad they turn out quite nice according to me and S. I'm waiting for my sis and parents to eat them and let me know if they like the pancakes too.

Fishballs and soba
I finished the last bit of curry leaves by using them in the soup for the soba. I like adding lime juice too and my favorite corriander.

I cooked mushroom and chicken couscous for lunch for S and I. I showed Bob the containers before I left home and his reaction was cute.

Flavourful noodles
I cooked this simple dish for lunch which was made up of pumpkin noodles, corn, curry leaves, spring onions and soup using dashi stock, lime juice and light soya sauce. I like the sweet, sour, herby and savoury tastes in every mouthful :)

Saturday's home cooked meals
Mom cooked asam instant noodle with veggie, canned top shell and minced pork for our lunch. As for my dinner, I quickly whipped up a simple soup of dashi stock, coriander with the tau pok and fishballs that S gave yesterday evening. I also had my cheese and nutella buns :)

Couscous. Dashi noodle soup. Ice cream sandwich
Sis was very nice to include my share when she made fish zucchini couscous for her lunch. She wasn't interested in my plain veggie noodle dashi soup with egg, so she had milo ice cream sandwich for dinner instead.

Brown rice noodle with fish
For lunch, I tried this dashi stock I bought from Isetan Scotts supermarket yesterday. Without MSG and salt, I added a bit of salt and Mirin. The dashi, coriander and spring onions gave the soup a nice aroma. Not bad :)

Brown rice squash miso minced pork porridge
I cooked the porridge for lunch, while multi-tasking between making sure Bob wasn't a nuisance while out of our room and cleaning the dusty computer table, as well as preparing the coriander and spring onions. I asked S to bring along a century egg to add to the porridge which tasted not too bad :)

Food therapy on Sunday
I love the smell of lemongrass and pandan leaves, so I bought a packet of the dried version from Bangkok to make tea. The pomegranates from Bangkok are for Mom to try. I had some just now and it's quite tedious to eat the fruit. For lunch, Sis prepared the fish and zucchini while I cooked the cous cous which was yummy :)

Egg tofu with soba and otak fish cake
The egg tofu was significantly more than the soba. That was for lunch just now. The otak fish cake added a bit of spice.

End of 3-day week
The weekend ended quite well with a morning swim, nice home-cooked lunch of seafood pasta, a movie and good company :) But I spoiled it a little by checking the office emails and feel a bit stressed.

Cooking & baking
It was a productive day from feeding the cats, scrubbing the shower area to cooking fish in some instant miso soup for lunch and baking a yogurt cake with hidden nutella.
Dinner was fish, veggie and soup prepared by parents.
I'm looking forward to the weekend :)

茶そば chasoba
昨日車を運転方のレッスンの前に, 昼ご飯を作りました。材料は茶そばと卵と野菜と納豆でした。美味しいでした。
I quickly whipped up my favorite soba with an egg, coriander and mushroom before my driving lesson yesterday afternoon. It was yummy and I think nutritious too :)
