Angel & a cockroach
I woke up this morning, seeing Angel on the kitchen sink and wondering why he was resting there. I was happily snapping photos of him until I saw the source of his fascination or his wait. Yikes a cockroach! Luckily super Mom woke up shortly after and she quickly caught Big Brown Winged Creature using a plastic bag. Mom asked how I'm going to stay on my own. I said if I'm alone, I will do it!

Angel's beautiful fur
Strangely Angel's fur has grown nice and thick since Cinnamon stays with us. previously some parts of his fur were balding or had red bumps which the vet thought he was stressed. It seems like the presence of Cinnamon is doing good to Angel's self-esteem. He can chase her without fearing her and sometimes she retaliates by chasing him back. At least they can tolerate each other's existence most of the time.

Angel safe in the room
Amid the excitement, Angel has been sleeping in parents' room, protected by the door laid with booby traps of prickly mat, mozzie swats and oranges and peels :) Bob the Terror can only stare.

Angel safe on top of the fridge
Angel hissed, stretched, closed his eyes during the time when Bob was out. We hope he will not be freaked out when we try again tonight.
1st attempt to reintroduce Angel & Bob
We let Bob out this morning around 11.45am after spraying the whole house with Feliway and putting Bob on harness. We think Angel being on top of the fridge gave him an advantage. Bob didn't know where Angel was initially and was exploring the other rooms. When Bob spotted Angel, he couldn't have a good view of Angel. After much "thinking", he tried to jump on top of the fridge, he couldn't get a good grip, was a little stunned by Angel's growl/hiss. I was holding onto his harness when Bob jumped and then fell. Bob moved away from the fridge and would lie on his side to look at Angel. Then he walked away to explore the other rooms.
We saw it as a good sign that Bob didn't seem intent to fight with Angel. Angel also didn't freak out. We shall try again tonight and hopefully one day, they can tolerate each other without us having to separate them. But we also don't dare to have too high hope.

Warm up Part 2: Angel and AVA pets
The lighting is not very good at night and it will be better to take the photos using my Olympus Pen instead of iPhone. But these photos are meant to be a warm up, to inspire myself and any of you to think of a photo to submit for the AVA Pet Snap! Photo contest :) Angel didn't seem to bothered by the AVA pets and just continued napping and resting.

Prep talk and positive thinking
I couldn't sleep soundly last night. @ 1.30am, I was thinking about mom's remark and how stressful she has been every night Angel starts to protest 15mins after we put him in Sis' room and let Bob out. I will try to get Bob in calmly even though I feel a bit sad at times that this arrangement isn't making both Bob and Angel happy. When Mom gets frustrated that things don't go smoothly, I can only give her a bit of prep talk which doesn't seem to help. She feels better, expressing her frustration in words but I don't feel good hearing them. I can't tell her to shut up, as it's probably an outlet for her to destress.
Last night, it really got into me that I had to think about it and cry a little about it. Such issues can only be resolved on my own, as right now there is no solution to improve the situation for Angel and Bob. Emotionally and mentally, I must be strong and believe that this is the best we can offer and the 2 cats are still quite happy most of the time. And for mom, I will still give her support which means being home most evenings to manage this arrangement.
I feel alright now after a bit more tearing and giving myself prep talk in my mind :) I told myself I have the choice to adopt mom's approach or continue to be positive. I choose the latter :)

Pet grass
I'm growing them for Angel and Bob who love them and will allow me to coax either of them into the room. The grass plays an important role in our Angel-in Bob-out and Bob-in Angel-out routine. Without the grass, I will have to carry them into the room against their will, so Mom and I are very relieved to see the seeds sprouting in the pots.

My babies this morning
It was nice this morning to wake up seeing Bob relaxing on the piano chair and later Angel coming over and resting on the newspaper and letting me stroke him :)

Angel in my bedroom
Only when Bob is away, Angel can explore my room. I miss Bob and also miss the closeness I used to share with Angel. But we can't have everything and I'm glad he and sis have a special bond.
