Blythe dolls and my new bag
I had dinner with FR and SP at Hediard Cafe Restaurant at Tudor Court. Before the food arrived, we admired the dolls and there was a gift presentation. I received my Christmas gift number 2, a reversible bag from the girls :)

Warm up Part 3: Bob and AVA pets
Bob actually tried to bite the AVA cat's tail and use his paw to squash it. I had to rescue the "cat" before it got shredded into pieces!
Warm up Part 2: Angel and AVA pets
The lighting is not very good at night and it will be better to take the photos using my Olympus Pen instead of iPhone. But these photos are meant to be a warm up, to inspire myself and any of you to think of a photo to submit for the AVA Pet Snap! Photo contest :) Angel didn't seem to bothered by the AVA pets and just continued napping and resting.
Warm-up Part 1: AVA Pet Snap! Photo contest
I've picked up the kit for the AVA Photo contest during the AVA roadshow last Sat and last night did the paper craft for the pet dog and cat last night. Aren't they cute? If you are interested in joining the contest, you can pick the kit from the libraries and submit your photos by 5 Dec.

Outing @ AVA's Responsible Pet Ownership Roadshow 2011
We browsed through the exhibits and animal welfare groups' booths @ the roadshow. I like the exhibits in the form of a gift box - so colourful and attractive and filled with messages to encourage people not to get pets on impulse. I was also happy to meet my dear friend, SP there.

What I brought back from the roadshow - Cat Welfare Society's 2012 Calendar, CWS' postcards and magnet and souvenirs from AVA (such as postcards, pocket calendars and EZlink card sticker).
I didn't take any photos of the adorable dogs and cats I saw there. If you are interested, do make a trip down to the roadshow which ends tomorrow.
[Photos were taken using the Olympus Pen since I brought it there :)]

Playing with my Olympus camera
The iPhone makes it so easy to take photos and blog them, so I have neglected my Olympus E-PL1 camera. This evening, after dinner, I just took it and used the Aperture mode to take some photos.
The Esso tigers and Ikea rats were Angel's kittenhood toys.
Angel was hiding this afternoon behind the curtain.
These some of the toys that I use to play with Bob.
Bob was curious about what I was doing. He continued to rest on the piano chair when I put the toys near him.

Fun with honey
The Blue Hills Honey will replace Happy Sheep Honey soon :) I forgot how beautiful the lomo photos can be until sis reminded me how the morelomo app can make use of the background colour to influence the colour of the subject. The honey jar looks interesting in the various colours :) a bit of fun before I start working later.

Destress therapy
I'm feeling a bit stressed about work this week, as emails, phone calls just kept coming and a few colleagues came over to my workstation to discuss about work. My plan to churn out some minutes of last Friday's meeting by yesterday has been ruined. I intend to do so at home tonight as tomorrow morning will definitely be busy and I want to take a break from work in the afternoon in peace. I'm glad I can still enjoy my meals and time with loved ones and in the mood to blog :) this photo was taken from inside the bus on the way home.

Walk along Changi Point Boardwalk & Changi Beach

The Changi Point Boardwalk provides nice scenery of the sea and interesting buildings and flowers lining the beach. It's an easy walk, but the sun this morning was glaring and it was a good thing I had my sunglasses with me and I was wearing light coloured t-shirt and shorts.
Even though it was before 8am, I could get nice shots at the Kelong Walk that reminds me of sunset.

I couldn't stop admiring the beautiful flowers of names I don't know :) I only know frangipani and mimosa.

A friendly community cat at the bum boat jetty.

I'm not sure if it was just this morning on National Day but I like it that the Changi Beach wasn't crowded and noisy like East Coast Park. It was just cool sea breeze and the sound of the waves :)
