We had a nice picnic after the concert. We have nice dip, salad, chicken, shitake mushroom, corn chips, grapes, iced mint tea, walnut bread. Most are prepared by Joan and her sis. Yummy. We stayed till the park was dark after 8pm. Cool breeze with nice company :> 

The sky was grey and it drizzled a little as we made our way to the Symphony Lake for the SCO concert before 6pm today. We were lucky that the clouds clear for this beautify sky around 7pm.

People sat on mats to enjoy the performance by Singapore Chinese Orchestra. I was @ Botanic Gardens with Joan, her sis, Harry their dog and another friend. 

Pip: I eat what my owners eat and this 12-grain bread is yummy and nutritious. 

Salt: I just want to sleep. Don't disturb me. zzzzz..... 

Zip prefers to stick to healthy bean sprouts.

I cooked this porridge (spinach, ham and egg) for lunch today as I wanted something warm but it didn't turn as nice as what I had cooked the past few things. It was partly because I did it in a rush. My parents said it's like some food for baby. Hee :> 

This photo was taken on New Year's Eve (31 Dec 2005) by my old konked out camera. I bought a new camera yesterday and saw this photo I couldn't retrieve earlier. This chocolate centred cookies had mixed reviews from my relatives - some found them too hard and others thought the chocolate was a nice surprise. 

I have borrowed a cat trap from Cat Welfare Society (CWS), so that I can lend it to anyone near my place who approach CWS for the loan of a cat trap to sterilise a cat. I am also thinking of bringing White Neck or Hunter for sterilisation one of these days.

Hamster houses on wheels

Dad has created all these trolleys so that the hamsters' houses in the form of plastic containers can be easily wheeled around. So cool, right? :>
During the day, some will be wheeled to my bedroom as it is cooler.

I'm glad that Mummy and Daddy take good care of the hamsters. With me at work and coming home late @ times, they give the hamsters the attention they need.

With 5 hamsters, there are 5 hamster "castles". There are 2 outside my room and another one near the dining room. At night, all the castles will be in the balcony and dining area.

On one of the nights, Fat Cat hopped onto the stone beach and sat beside Mummy. 

Baking @ Jasmine's place

Last Sun, I hopped over to Jasmine's place to guide her how to bake and use the oven we have given her. The oven has been sitting at home as my mum prefers the old one. We baked choc chip cookies and our last tray of cookies had raisins in them.

We also tried our hands in making butter cake. It was a different recipe from my mum's as it requires whisking of egg white and sugar and also grated orange rind. It has the nice aroma of oranges and I won't mind baking it again.

It was great baking with Jasmine. She was so enthusiastic and excited about the cookies and the cakes. I'm looking forward to hear about her baking adventures!

Dinner with Joan @ Indinine

Joan has raved about the nice food @ Indinine. There are 2 branches - Suntec City and Neil Rd. We headed for the Neil Road branch as we couldn't find a carpark lot at Suntec.

The service @ Indinine was great. We ordered papodum and tofu. The papodums were like fried dumplings and the tofu came with this special sauce.

Joan ordered this baked pasta and me a portobello mushroom burger.

For dessert, we share this chendol ice cream. The ice cream is coconut flavoured. It was yummy.

I will definitely visit Indinine again!

Mum baked her nice coffee cakes last week. The left one contained chocolate chips and the right had raisins and cranberries.
